Everything you need

Built for the stories
that matter most

From your first memory to your final chapter — guided, polished, and preserved.

Guided conversations

An AI interviewer asks the questions you'd never think to ask yourself — about childhood, family, career, and the moments that quietly shaped who you are. Speak or type, at your own pace.

Beautiful chapters

Your answers are woven into polished prose chapters, organised by life theme — ready to share, export to PDF, or print as a keepsake book for family and friends.

Your voice, preserved

My Life History writes in your voice — not a generic template. Set the tone, style, and perspective, and every chapter will sound unmistakably like you.

Photo memories

Add photos to any session and they're woven into your chapters — each image placed in context, captioned by the story around it.

Your story plan

Map out the stories you want to tell across every chapter of your life. Your AI tracks what's been captured and what's still to come — so every session moves your memoir forward.

Simple by design

From first word to finished book

Four steps. No writing experience needed.

Start a session

Pick a topic or let the AI choose — childhood, family, career, adventures. Each session is a short, focused conversation, not a blank page.

Share your memories

Speak or type your answers. The AI asks follow-up questions to draw out the details, emotions, and stories you didn't know you'd remembered.

Review your chapters

Your sessions are shaped into polished memoir chapters — warm, personal, and written in your voice. Edit, approve, or refine each one.

Share or print

Export a beautiful PDF, share a private link with family, or save your book for posterity. Your story, exactly as you told it.

The stories that live in your memory
deserve to outlive it.

We lose so much when the people we love are gone — not just them, but their stories, their voices, the way they saw the world. My Life History exists to change that.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about My Life History.

Who has access to my memoir?

Only you. Your memoir is stored in your private account on AWS, encrypted at rest and in transit. We never share your content with anyone — not for advertising, not for AI training, not for any purpose. You control who can read your story.

Where is my data stored?

Your memoir content, session transcripts, and photos are stored on AWS (Amazon Web Services) infrastructure in the United States — specifically Amazon S3 for file storage and DynamoDB for data, with your account managed via Amazon Cognito. No data is stored outside the US.

What AI powers My Life History?

Your interview sessions and memoir chapters are written by Claude, Anthropic's AI model. Claude is one of the most capable AI writing assistants available — it's exceptionally good at conversational interviews and at writing in a natural, personal voice.

Is my memoir content used to train the AI?

No. Anthropic's API terms explicitly prohibit using API content for model training without permission. Your stories are never used to train Claude or any other AI model. They belong to you, and they stay private.

Is it really free?

Yes — completely free during the open beta. No credit card, no trial period, no catch. You get full access to every feature: guided voice sessions, AI-generated chapters, photo integration, book view, and PDF export.

What happens when the beta ends?

When we launch publicly, My Life History will move to a paid subscription. Beta users who stay will receive early-access pricing as a thank-you for helping shape the product. Your memoir content will remain yours and will not be deleted.

Do I own my memoir content?

Completely. You own every word of your memoir — the memories you share, the stories the AI helps write, and the photos you upload. My Life History retains no rights to your content beyond what's needed to provide the service.

Can I download my memoir?

Yes. You can export your complete memoir as a print-ready PDF at any time — suitable for Blurb, Shutterfly, or any print-on-demand service. You can also share a private read-only link with family members who don't need an account.

How do I prepare for a session?

The best sessions come from relaxed, unhurried conversations. Find a quiet spot, maybe browse old photos beforehand, and don't worry about having the "right" answers — the AI will ask follow-up questions to draw out the details. You don't need to prepare; the interview does that for you.

How many sessions until my memoir is complete?

There's no fixed number — your memoir grows with every session. Most people find 3–5 sessions per life chapter gives enough depth for a meaningful book. A complete memoir covering your whole life typically takes 30–50 sessions, but many people find the process so enjoyable they keep going long after.
